Ok, I'm sorry I misunderstood you then. I do speak german but writing it is difficult and in cases like this it is important to be clear and able to say exactly what I mean.

Well, I'm not going to knock on his door and do something stupid. If I'm in the area I might look him up just to see who this person is and try to understand why someone a University student with 1700+ posts, 30 positive iTrader feedbacks and 369 positive ebay feedbacks can do something like this. And try to understand why he wants to risk all that for 500 euro. When looking at what he has sold over the years on ebay 500 euro is a small amount of money.

The only way I can get my money back is if he'll let me have it back. I have a box here with a pair of useless cams. The morning after receiving the cams and realizing that they were broken I went to the post office and bought two poster tubes and some bubble wrap and paid an additional 15 euro for that so that I could return them safely to him. Makes you feel kind of stupid, doesn't it?

Anyway I'm looking out for him on the internet. Here and ebay, all supra websites. And if he tries to sell anything anywhere I'll be there warning the buyers of what can happen if something goes wrong.

ja ja.......mal am Rande erwähnt..da es sich um seltene HKS Wellen handelt,die lassen sich instandsetzen....und so das sie nachher als neuwertig gelten.
Sinnlos hier so n Ruß zu machen und Pippi in den Augen zu haben.
Ändern kanns keiner und es is auch nich bekannt wie die Wellen vorher gehandhabt wurden.
Denke mal das die nicht brand new and never used waren.
Also......die Dinger ganz machen lassen und einen Nachlaß gewähren.

The gear looks like the biggest damage and will disturb the function.
The other little ones would not disturb the function, the damaged spots do not touch the valvecaps.
But I also wouldn't expect damaged cams for that amount of money.

No, you are right.

The gear is broken. So they can now only be used by someone using a crank trigger.

My suggstion to Daniel is to give me a partial refund. Let's say 250 euro. Then I'll try to see if someone can use the cams as they are or will try to reweld them.

Alternatively Daniel can give me a full refund and fix the cams himself and try to sell them again.

I think that is more than fair of me.

For what I paid for these cams I could have gotten brand new BC cams or regrinds from SIP racing. Shipped, properly wrapped and with buyer protection.

Alla hopp, wenn es Nucleon nicht macht, legt halt das Forum hier zusammen und erstattet Kristian sein Geld. Das wäre anständig wie man es vom Verkäufer auch erwarten würde. Auch wenn der Verkäufer nur Pech hatte, ist es halt sein Problem und nicht Kristians, auch wenn er rechtlich nicht zu
belangen ist.

Ist zwar net primärer Sinn und Zweck von einem Forum, aber es will ja keiner in Kristians Haust stecken.

Kristian kann die Wellen dann bei ebay verkaufen und den Erlös als "Aufwandsentschädigung" behalten. Oder die Dinger als Kerzenständer umfunktionieren.

Nucleon kann sich dann halt hier nimmer blicken lassen, was schade wäre, ich habe von ihm auch schon gekauft und alles war iO...

Alternativ erstattet er Kristian einfach sein Geld komplett oder teilweise wie oben vorgeschlagen.

Ich schlage vor das der User mindestens 2 Beiträge
hat und Sachen die er bei ebay gekauft hat mit versichert sind.
Bedingung ist natürlich das der Preller positiv bewertet wird.

I could of course never take any money from any of you (except Daniel Kellermann of course).

I've been very sad the last few days. I constantly think about this and to feel the support from most forum members here (posts or pms) makes me feel some what better.

I had a talk with paypal today on the phone and they couldn't do anything since the seller did ship the items. Had he shipped an empty box they would not be able to do anything either. So no real buyer protection there. Then had a chat with my bank and they said the same.

So only buy from people you know VERY well and remember that sometimes people you THINK you know well show their true self in situations like this.

If nothing else comes of this I hope you will on this forum take action to start a dispute system like what they have on Supramania. And that you will be able to ban members who behave in an unethical way (and illegal way by the way).

It should be a forum where you can trust your fellow man and it will encourage any seller to go to great lengths in order to ensure that every item is wrapped carefully to the benefit of both buyer and seller. Because shipping is the SELLERS responsibility.

Had the cam shafts been wrapped as I showed in the previous pictures in bubble wrap and in poster tubes (for the amount of only 10 euro) nothing would have happend and they would have arrived here safely. The seller would have had nothing to worry about.

I see you list your occupation as student of biology.

I have great understanding for the financial situation of students. However I don't know how your financial situation compares to students in general but when I was a student 518 euro was quite a large sum and I can understand that in January finances can be a bit on the low.

So if you have genuine intentions of doing the right thing here but simply can't since you don't have the money maybe because you already spent them or you had other expenses I'm sure we can figure something out.

Now I remembered that once I ordered a complete 3'' downpipe with a flex piece and a Apexi turbotimer in BLACK from one user in this forum(known as Matce ). I got the downpipe with 2,5'' flex piece and the TT was silver. He told me I should cut a piece of pipe away and weld one 3'' piece in between, and I should color the TT in black myself because he didn't have any black in storage anymore. However, after few months he sent me a black one and sold the silver one to someone in Germany and I had to pay for the shipping myself. And the downpipe.... I think I sold it way under the price I bought it.
Months before I bought some stuff from him and never had problems. But you never know who is gonna disappoint you.

Yes, you never really know about someone until something goes wrong. But then you do know. And then one can only try to spread the word of what happend so that particular person will be given the opportunity to sell again.

Anyway, I showed the cams to a professional welder today and he said that they can't be fixed. So they are trash.
