My new project: 2jz vvti MA60 compound boost

Hi Guys,

I'm currently building a new car for dragracing / fun racing here in the Netherlands. I chose to go with the MA60 body, as it's a 6 banger on the license (it's not easily allowed to change the number of pistons in holland). I'm building a 2jz-gte vvti engine in there to be controlled with the AEM ECU. To spool up the big turbo (haven't choosen that one yet) I use the supercharger of a Mercedes SLK 230 (Eaton series).

The supercharger will suck it's air through the turbo charger, slightly helping the turbo to spool quicker.
When the turbo charger reaches more boost than the supercharger can generate we have a one way check valve or bypass valve that opens and bypasses the supercharger. After that we can disengage the magnetic clutch and the supercharger will not run anymore.

Here are some pictures of the supercharger with belt, the new V belt for the alternator (see how it would slip over the pulley), the norbie mounts and the R154 mk3 tranny with 1jz bellhouse.
The gearing on the supercharger is about 2:1. So the charger will push 2 liter of air every engine revelation until the turbo spools. That means we'll be having around 2/1.5 = 0.33 bar of boost from idle. Should be sufficient.
