"Ignition Coil Conversion Kit for Toyota Supra Turbo 7MGTE 1987-1992. The kit allows you to convert your stock ignition system from the original factory coil pack and spark plug wires system to Coil Over Plug system without the use of high voltage spark plug wires. No more issues with different length/resistance of spark plug wires for each plug. The system utilizes the original 7MGTE igniter in combination with HKS Twin Power DLI ignition amplifier. Spark plugs are standard - either factory spec or lower temperature range for higher boost cars. THE KIT CONTAINS: Polished Aluminum Centre Plate, all mounting hardware, ground wire AND WIRING HARNESS connecting the new coils to the stock igniter wiring harness. NOTE: The system utilizes six MkIV Toyota Supra Twin Turbo ignition coils. You can purchase them new from Toyota or buy used from us or other sources. Toyota/Denso Part Number 90919-02205. Also, the HKS Twin Power DLI box is not included in the kit but necessary to provide enough spark energy. If you already have one, the rest is plug-and-play.

Installation of the coils requires modification of the throttle linkage located on top of the engine so it does not interfere with coil placement. The best option for manual transmission cars is however the removal of the throttle linkage assembly completely (look at the pics) and replacing it with JDM-style assembly which gets rid of the useless levers and springs. JDM car being right hand drive never had this linkage, and trust me, the throttle response of the engine without it is so much better, you'd think it's a different car altogether.

The mounting kit for the coil conversion only is $169. (Polished Aluminum Plate adaptor, mounting hardware, wiring harness)
($99 if you don't need the wiring harness, for people using stand alone ECU with MSD ignition and individual coils, and only need the mounting kit)
A set of 6 used coils $200.

The throttle conversion kit containing the modified throttle body, throttle cable and brackets is $149 (it can be used on its' own without the coil conversion kit."

Zitat von porn-adkt - difference USDM/JDM engine
the most important difference is that the JDM engine is "TIGHT" as the USDM is lacking that option.

"JDM TIGHT"
