EGR Block Off Plates

Wo kommen die Teile überhaupt hin? Bringen sie wirklich was?
Können sie beim Turboumbau gleich mit eingebaut werden oder muß der Motor oder ähnliches raus?

Hier die engl. Beschreibung:

Zitat:
PHR is the original supplier of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) block-off plate kit, with hundreds of sets sold worldwide! They manufacture a set of two laser-machined polished aluminum plates that allow the removal of all factory EGR equipment located on the intake manifold and cylinder head. This assures that no exhaust gas is recirculated into the intake. Don't accept cheap imitations. Other versions are manufactured from thin aluminum plate material that is highly prone to leakage. PHR plates are laser cut from 1/4" 6061 Aluminum and utilize the factory EGR gaskets to assure a leak-free fit.

You will see a gain of about 5hp because of the air temperature drop your intake manifold will experience. Most importantly, this is a large safety issue. Dumping hot air back into your intake manifold from exhaust is ludicrous! Why go to all the trouble to produce cold air in your intake manifold only to have 700+ degree Celsius air fed into your manifold from the rear?

This kit includes both laser-cut EGR plates, instructions, and a resistor to prevent your check engine light from coming on.
